The Worship Workshop (WOW for short) is a Christian education program for children on Sunday mornings designed by Pastor Carol specifically for our church. Kids in preschool through 4th grade are invited to attend following the children’s message in the regular Sunday worship service. Each Sunday offers a workshop in one of four rotation stations: Play, Create, Mix, and Do. These fully interactive stations will be led by Sunday school teachers and special guests, and provide a deeper, hands-on engagement of the Bible stories that their parents are hearing in the worship service upstairs. Children will return to the sanctuary to participate in communion the first Sunday of the month, and every time there is a 5th Sunday in the month, the children will take part in an intergenerational worship service in the sanctuary.
So get ready to…
Play – Active games that get kids on their feet and interacting with the Bible stories (and their peers) in fun ways.
Create – Art projects with purpose and instruction from experienced artists. A variety of media and techniques will be used, from pottery to painting.
Mix – Kids will get creative in the kitchen as they combine cooking, snack-making, or kitchen science fun with Bible stories and worship concepts.
Do – Fun service projects will provide an outlet to send what we’ve learned into the world to make a difference, ensuring we are “doers of the word,” not simply “hearers.”

What about youth? “Middlers” in grades 5-7 have their own program at 9am. They meet in their Sunday school room where they use the “Submerge” curriculum to learn about God and the Bible. 8th-12th graders also meet at 9am in their own room. They discuss current events in light of Scripture and what it means to live a Christian life. Youth attend worship at 10am.
